Get Lost Then Find Another Way

When things do not go my way it gives me an opportunity to find another way.  There is a lot to be said for planning ahead, but sometimes we can make our greatest discoveries when we get lost.  When you are lost you begin searching.  Your awareness and senses are heightened.  A once foreign place will become familiar the next time you return.  You start moving, you ask for directions, take a couple of turns and turn arounds here and there and eventually you find your way home.  You learn that panicking and worrying will only delay you and you become a problem solver and a true trail-blazer.

Right now I believe that feeling lost is the equivalence of what change used to be for me a couple of years ago.  I used to fight it, fear it, stress about it, and lose sleep over it and it would still end up happening.  Then one fine day, I realized that change is constant and that I should embrace it.  If things never changed then we would stay stuck in bad situations.  It is change that allows us to step outside of ourselves and become a better version of the person we used to be.

Getting lost used to send me directly into a state of panic, but one summer day after a swim meet I decided to enjoy being lost and it made my journey way more enjoyable and less stressful.  We also need to remember that feeling lost does not always mean that we are lost.  Get organized, dream big, set goals, then work towards your goals.  You may not know exactly where you want to go, but if you take time to think about it and move towards your goals; you will be moving in a good direction.  Moving is way better than staying in one place and worrying about everything.

Choose a direction and move towards it. Step-by-step you will get closer to where you want to be.
