Timeless Beauty

Everyday and every way we are faced with a constant pressure to be beautiful.  For most women it seems like the majority of the focus is on our outward appearance and we are heavily judged for it.  Eat less to weigh less.  Go to the gym and lift.  Do more squats for a bigger booty.  If you don’t stay in shape men are not going to want to sleep with you.  And somehow that lessens our value as a human?!?!  To me, that is warped thinking.

Yes, nutrition is important and it affects our energy levels and overall mood.  Going to the gym and resistance training enhances our lives and helps us to become stronger so that we can face everyday life with strength and grace.  Squats create a stronger lower body and are a great foundation for overall fitness and health.  Being desirable and attractive is an added perk and benefit to being fit and active, but it should NEVER be your number one motivator.   Choose to do it for you to improve YOUR quality of life.

Increase your endurance so you can climb that mountain and take in the gorgeousness of the view.  Lift so you can feel powerful, strong, and empowered.  Swim so that you can feel the weightlessness and pure joy of being free in the water.  Dance to feel liberated and JOYFUL.  Do Yoga to stretch and strengthen your body and enjoy the sense of inner peace and solace.  Swim, bike, and run to show yourself that you can do amazing things.  Experience new things and be multi-faceted.  It is wonderful for your body, mind, and soul.  Set new goals and train to make them happen.  You can do anything you set your mind to.

Beauty does not have to be a destination.  Find beauty in everyday.  You are beautiful just the way you are in the skin you are in today.  Some people may be harsh, mean, and critical of you.  That’s ok, go out into the world and do amazing things anyways.  The stress and fear of judgement is NOT worth all the stress because it is inevitable.  People are judgemental by nature and not everyone is going to approve of you.  What matters the most is that you approve of you.  If you are not happy with your life.  You can change it!!!!
