Toyland

This is my 1st official post for NaBloPoMo!  Today’s topic is:

What was the one toy that a friend had that you wished you had when you were little?

This takes me back to a time when there were no bills.  All I had to worry about was school work, practicing the piano, and finishing my chores.  It was always so exciting when I got through all of it because I got to play outside.  As a child I enjoyed riding bikes, playing in the sandbox, wading in the pool and playing with super soakers on sunny days, jump rope, dress up, and tea parties, but one of my favorite activities, was riding down the biggest hill with my best friend in her red wagon.

It took a little work to haul the wagon up the hill, but  the labor was worth-it as we felt the wind blowing in our hair speeding down that hill.  We could also use our beloved wagon to carry things like lemonade for our lemonade stand, books, toys, and treasures we found along the way.

I always wanted a wagon of my own and when my sister was little I wanted to get her one, but she grew up so quickly.  Looking back, I still think that a little red wagon is the coolest toy for a little kid to have.
