Today’s workout took place late in the night. My boyfriend surprised me by coming home early from work so we were spending time together. So far I have had a chance to experience an early morning workout (Monday), midday workout (yesterday), and nighttime workout (today).
Here it is:
- 90 Jumping Jacks
- 20 Tricep Dips
- 10 Sit-ups
- 30 Bird Dogs
- 30 Second Plank
- 50 Squats
- 40 Crunches
- 10 Oblique Crunches (each side)
- 20 Calf raises
I was so close to skipping today’s workout especially after we picked up take-out for dinner, but I feel some accountability now that I am posting my workout of the day. My workout feels like my chance to feel strong. In fact today, my right foot stopped hurting after 2 weeks of increasing pain. I bet being a little more consistently active has made the difference. It is a new habit I want to keep!
Today’s Word of the Day is:
slugabed- a lazy person who stays in bed long after the usual time for rising.
During the week she rose and retired like clockwork, but once the weekend hit she became a slugabed and would not emerge until late into the afternoon.
Slugabed is formed from the word slug meaning “to be slow” and the rare adverb abed meaning “in bed.”
It was pretty exciting for me to learn a new adverb that did not have the typical “ly” characteristic. I am a little obsessed with adverbs. I believe that adverb use is a lost art.
What is your favorite adverb?
Until next time,
Peace, Love, and Blessings,
