Workout and Word of the Day #54

It feels like I am back to the drawing board with my workouts.  It’s not a bad place to be…  I am a little concerned because lately when I get off track, I have been staying off track for weeks at a time.

I am also concerned that my spare time has turned into laziness so this is a perfect time to make some changes.  It is still early enough in the summer.  I don’t want to procrastinate this time around and take this summer for granted.  I have this golden opportunity to study and work on myself and I want to take full advantage of it.

I might have to take the workouts slow and work into it gradually.  I have a tendency to hit things super hard then burn out.  I don’t want to do that this time around.

Workout of the Day: Walk with Ruby & Resistance Band Training

  1. Ruby and I went for a walk in the sunshine.  We walked for 42 minutes and got in over 2 miles.  These walks still feel like a chore to me, but I want to establish a habit.  I know that they are good for both Ruby and myself.
  2. I got home and did this workout below.  It was a great way to get back into toning.  Give it a try!

Word of the Day:

  1. Going straight to the point; frank, direct, outspoken.
  2. Proceeding in a straight course; direct; straightforward.

I surprised myself and decided to end my day with yoga.  I would like to practice yoga consistently and see where it takes me.  I am just fine with starting small and in the comfort of my home.  It felt good to breathe deeply and I grew more aware of my body.

After yoga, I brewed myself a cup of detox tea and took a detox bath with epsom salt and baking soda.  It was a nice way to end my day.

Goodnight my Dear Darling Friends!  I shall see you tomorrow!!!

Love, Joy, and Blessings Always,

Alana xoxoxo
