Homesick

That homesick feeling has set in.  I miss our cats Oscar and Alleyjandra and our puppy Ruby more than anything else.

The distance and the change of pace has set in.  The scenery is different and absolutely stunning.  It rains the same way it did at home with a few more drops.  Sometimes it feels like the rain never stops.

We have a place to call home and transportation that is our very own.

I am somewhat disappointed that I will not be going to class on Monday, but I am still continuing my education.

Our families and friends are easy to reach thanks to the wonders of technology.

I can still have my cup of tea in the morning and some minty herbal at night.

This new lifestyle is a true delight.

The best part of all of this is that the homesick feeling is only temporary and before long we will be back to being merry.

  1. I’ve always found that going outside, taking in my surroundings and engaging my senses helps me feel less homesick and more attuned to the new environment I’m in.
