“When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it is going to launch you into something great. So just keep focusing and aiming.”
Those lines were so inspiring to me. I was getting a little discouraged with my work because everything is so new and foreign to me. When you learn something new you have to start slow. I am starting to see that there is no way to rush new knowledge.
It takes time to read, digest, process, and understand the information. This cannot be accomplished without ample time, effort, focus, and dedication. I am not trying to cut corners or look for shortcuts. I just get frustrated and discouraged when I don’t understand it after reading for the first time.
In my past, I would dismiss it altogether and just tell myself that it was probably “too late” or “I wasn’t smart enough.” Now I can see that those were just excuses and justifications that were holding me back.
From now on, when I get frustrated, I will imagine the arrow and remember that it has to be drawn back before it can shoot forward.
Happy Friday Everyone! I am thinking of you!
Lots of Love,
