I have been feeling a little nostalgic about the days when I used to coach swim team. This was one of my favorite memories.

Living Out Loud

Here is A beautiful heartfelt letter with a lei that my swimmer Nicole gave to me on my last practice with her swim team–the team I coached with for 3 years. Nicole is 8 years old by the way and was by far the littlest girl in her group, but she can hold her own with the best of the older and taller swimmers in her group.

Nicole has made SO much progress in such a short amount of time. She came to me fresh out of lessons at the end of July. We only got to work together for a short amount of time because my last day with the team was the first week of October. It was quality over quantity because she has incredible technique and pays attention to all the details. Now she can swim 100 FLY and even 400 IM. It breaks my heart that…
