“Busy Long-Ass Days Make for Incredibly Amazing Weeks!”
Well well, it has been awhile since I have written a blog post, but I am not going to apologize about it because I have had an amazingly productive week. This makes me happy because there was a time not so long ago when just the thought of a busy day overwhelmed me to the point of feeling paralyzed. I would get so stressed about it that I would feel completely zapped of energy and in some instances would accomplish nothing and feel even worse.
At the beginning of this week I was concerned about my long busy days at school, but I promised myself that I would be aware and not allow my worries to interfere with my life. Guess what?! It worked!!!
I know that I will have days in the future where my stresses and worries win, but I just feel so good about having a solid productive week. I hope that this is the start of something great.
I guess this is a good time to tel you all a little bit about my January! I am happy with the way this year started. I started a new quarter at school and taking a different program has created a dramatic change in my life. I no longer dread going to campus! In fact I look forward to my classes. I am excited about everything that I am learning and I love the fact that we dance at least 6 hours a week!

We had a guest that I was super stressed about hosting and some of my apprehensions turned out to be accurate, but I am glad that we were all able to work together and get things done! Visit my “Add More Rooms to Your Home” post to read more about our projects!
I will admit I was a little stressed about all the changes and big things that happened this month so I took some opportunities to Shop til’ I DROPPED. Yeah, it might have put a strain on my wallet, but I am satisfied with the items I chose.
I will admit that I did NOT do a great job with my nutrition and I often got the Midnight Munchies. As a result my weight has gone up, but that’s all a part of the cause and effect dealio. There are direct consequences for our actions. This next month I want to create more favorable consequences in my life. It is empowering to think of it that way.
I also took many opportunities to push myself outside of my comfort zone! I feel very uncomfortable and shy when it comes to talking. Even to people that I know. Sometimes my mind goes blank. Or I start to sweat. Or I get choked up. So I decided to work on that and practice talking by taking DJ Training! It is challenging for me because I am faced with technology and talking, but I am hoping that it will help me find my voice!
And finally, I was on the hunt to add another member to our furry family. I was a 15 /30 minute drive away from adopting a new St. Bernard puppy when I changed my mind about the level of responsibility that I had time for being a full-time student. So I got Baby Carl instead!
