Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I love the entire month of July because it truly feels like summer and we are not tethered to a strict work or school schedule.
This is the first summer that I have been able to focus on my interests and spend my time learning and doing exactly what I want to do. And how have I been spending it?!?! Playing Star Craft and going for many long walks everyday. It has actually been quite nice, but almost verging on the edge of laziness (if I am truly honest), but who says that’s a bad thing?
I guess there are some things that I would love to be doing that I can’t. Like, I wish I could run for miles in the sun, but my injury just won’t allow it. I also wish that I could have gone to this summer’s dance intensive, but I couldn’t see paying $400 for two weeks of dancing when my movements are still really restricted. Healing an injury is always a humbling moment in time.
We have been going for long walks and it has given me a chance to reflect and breathe deeply.
We almost went to the Rainbow Gathering especially since it was taking place in Oregon this year. I went back in 2011 and it was an adventure!
We even baked up some delicious bartering goods in the form of Teenage Mutant Ninja turtle edible cookies!
When it came down to it we decided that we would rather stay closer to home to we went to our friend’s BBQ and brought steaks and homemade hamburger patties. It was a beautiful place and a perfect day for a BBQ!
How was your 4th of July? Did you meet up with family and friends?
These are my goals for the month of July. July is always one of my favorite months. This week I started meditating once a day either in the morning or before bed. I am not sure if I am doing it right, but I will keep on Practicing.
