Singular Sensation

If one experience or life change results from you writing your blog, what would you like it to be?

This blog has been a blessing in my life.  I started it at a time when I was heartbroken and needed a creative outlet.  I also wanted to become more proficient at utilizing and understanding technology.  I am thankful that it has helped me to do both.  Most importantly, I named it “Living Out Loud” because at my best I am a free spirit who is full of joy.  My default behavior has become fear, sadness, and stress and I wanted to make sure that I took active strides to change that about myself.

We can spend our lives living paycheck to paycheck struggling to survive rather than thriving.  Or we can see life as an adventure.  Things don’t always run smoothly in an adventure, but that is part of the thrill-factor.  There are highs and lows, twists and turns, frequent lessons, and hidden treasures we just need to be open and willing to embrace the journey.

I hope that as a result of writing my blog I will be able to Transform my life for the best, find my voice, my strength, my confidence, and discover what my purpose in life is.

I know that these are big lofty goals and it begins by burying all of my sadness, fears, complaints, and insecurities. This may sound suspiciously like avoidance, but in my case it is not.  I have spent years still carrying a heavy load full of sadness, fears, complaints and insecurities and I no longer have to do that.  It just continues to grow larger and harder to handle.  So I am letting them go.

  1. My blog is called Downright Ultimate…I started it because I feel like I have so many ideas and so much to give and say that I need to write it down in hopes someone will read it. I love learning so I’m focusing a lot on that, balanced living and becoming the ultimate version of myself!

Blogs are a blessing indeed. Keep on writing! It heals.

    Cheers!

  2. I started blogging to document my weight loss goal. It’s been four years now (I lost count from all the changes I made lol) since I started blogging and why I blog changes so often I can’t even keep track anymore! Lately, though I mostly do it to develop my English skills, writing and creativity. That’s why sometimes I have these out of topic blog posts. I find that writing relaxes me more than anything. 🙂

  3. All the best Alana. If blogging has allowed you to let go of the emotions that bog you down, why well done! I started to blog because I simply did not want to forget. And it is so easy to let moments slip and slide through the crevices of our memory. xx

  4. All the best to you!
I started blogging because I wanted a place to share my passion. I love history and I had a vision of making history fun and interactive and showing that it’s not all dull. I wanted to share that vision with the world and also explore the history around me more, so my blog was born.
