We have reached the 7th month of 2017 and yet workouts have not been my top priority. I really think that they should be a priority especially after experiencing some health issues and my recent injury. I have noticed that I am a lot healthier and rarely get injured when I exercise consistently and balance it with good nutrition.
Lately my priorities have been relationship, family (and animals), and school. Making these areas a priority has made a good difference in my life, but now it is time for me to take care of myself.
Working out is one of those things that I get easily overwhelmed by and I often don’t know how to start even though I used to give other people workouts when I was a coach. Isn’t it funny how that works?
To stop the overwhelmed feeling I decided to keep things simple today!
Workout of the Day: Simple Circuit + bonus Push-ups
I started my day with 10 push-ups and that felt like a struggle. A few hours later, I felt more awake and ready to begin an actual workout when my bf invited me to do 3 x 20 push-ups.
He saw that I was just about to begin my own workout and told me to go ahead and do my thing, but I decided to join him. I figured it would be a good “bonding” exercise 🙂
- 3 x 20 Push-ups
- 8 Bodyweight Squats
- 8 Upright Rows (Or inverted Rows)
- 8 Dumbell Lunges
*Now set your timer to 10-15 minutes and repeat this circuit as many times as you can!
*I completed 6 sets!!!

These exercises started out very easily and simply. Before I knew it I could feel the burn. Don’t let the initial simplicity fool you, it definitely gets more challenging. And if it is still too easy, challenge yourself to do more repetitions or step it up a notch!

It was interesting to look up the actual definition of meme. It always seemed like a hype word to me so it was cool to read its actual definition 🙂
