Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I was excited about working out for the first time in a long time! I decided to do another full body workout by Amy. I did one of her dumbell workouts yesterday and was impressed by how I was challenged and worked up a sweat in a short amount of time.
Today’s Workout is: Total Body + Contemporary Lyrical Dance
This is one of the first times I have done a dance class since Professor K’s memorial in June. I spent a lot of time resting and recovering from my injury. Now I feel ready to start dancing again… At least at home. Give this dance a try. It is a lot of fun and a nice change of pace!
I like dance classes because it feels like it exercises my brain. She will teach you the stanza on one side then once you feel like you have it down; she teaches it on another side. My mind felt slightly blown. It is almost like one of those rub your belly pat your head at the same time kind of exercise. Towards the end of the class she adds in turns. These were a little confusing for me, but that’s mainly because I am still learning how to turn. I get a little confused with the mirror imaging. I suggest that you just keep moving even if it isn’t completely right. Another advantage of a video is that you can rewind it hundreds of times until you have the movement down! ENJOY!!!
