Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I am happy to be back on track with my weekly posts. I just got through a period of feeling uninspired to blog and am so happy to be on the other side. What causes this sense of lack of inspiration? I think it happens when blogging becomes a task or a chore. I guess this is why I have not chosen a niche in my blogging or set a posting schedule for myself. I like having the freedom to freely express myself and to write about anything and everything <3.
I think that some of my best posts have happened in times when I have felt either sad, full of joy, or very passionate and I think that is a beautiful thing.
I feel kind of bad because it has been a long time since I have posted a “Workout and Word of the Day.” Don’t worry, I have been working out, but I have taken the subscription route which has made it a little more challenging to share. I will try and change this soon because I miss our workouts 🙂
This was a good week for me! I finally decided to take up watercolor painting once again after a 6 year hiatus. A dear friend of mine asked me to take lessons with her and I decided to reach out to my former teacher and 2nd mom from my childhood. This was the BEST decision I could have made. I still feel so nervous (since it has been so long) that I don’t remember what to do or how to paint, but I am choosing to start anew.
I braved the snow (I usually hate driving in snow so that was a big deal for me) for my first lesson on Tuesday and I loved it so much that I went back for another lesson on Friday! I am excited to see where my creativity decides to take me ❤
I also completed my Next Step Training as a Mixxedfit instructor and am now qualified to teach classes. This just means that the real work begins now. I have to learn my music and choreography and boost up my confidence enough to teach and possibly approach gyms in the future. We shall see and I will keep you posted!
I would love to invite friends over at least once a month so that I can practice teaching my choreography and we can dance together so if you live in this area please send me a message so we can connect and make it happen!
FEBRUARY:
FAITH
- Count your blessings. I have been doing this and it makes all the difference in the world. I want to pick up my gratitude journal this week.
- Learn about faith. I have not done much with this, but I know that I will in the future.
- Actively build your confidence. I have been taking proactive steps to build my confidence like completing that Mixxedfit instructor training! Also learning how to paint again will help too.
- Believe in Miracles. I always believe in miracles and the power of prayer ❤
- Believe in Yourself! Yes!!!
There are only 3 more days left in February and then we get to start a brand new month. Things were a little rocky for me in the middle of this month, but I am so glad that it is ending on a high note!
I am actually REALLY excited about my goals for March! Here they are:
MARCH:
PEACE
- Meditate.
- Breathe Deeply.
- Yoga EVERY DAMN Day!!!
- Sing.
- Begin Spring cleaning.
- Laugh out LOUD.

Oh, one more thing! I have been feeling very overwhelmed with all the workout possibilities and the fact that I want to do them all! My bf and I finally decorated our downstairs with a home gym!

Now there is a world of endless possibilities and I love the fact that I don’t have to get up and move my bones around other people in a gym. Haha. I want to practice yoga, swim and run and lift weights and dance and do pilates… Here’s the thing I can’t do all of those things in one day and remain sane. I have noticed that my obsession with the scale and tendency to over-train kind of go hand in hand. I do a lot of workouts and then I get frustrated about the fact that the number on the scale is barely moving. When that happens I try to workout even more, but *newsflash* this is NOT sustainable.
So this week I am committing to practicing Buti Yoga for 14 days in a row. After I post this I will start day 3/14. I am choosing yoga before anything else because I love how powerful, strong, and beautiful it makes me feeling. It also has definite healing properties. So yoga first and then I can do other things if I still have energy.
If you have made it this far and are still reading; I applaud you and thank you from the heart. This was a long post and I appreciate you taking time out of your day to chill with me.

Love, Joy, and Blessings Always,

I’d love to have my own gym too! I don’t like it when other people see me workout. I feel judged 100% of the time. Have you heard of intermittent fasting? That works wonders for me. Maybe you should do try it! Also, I stopped weighing myself daily. I only weigh myself once a week. It definitely helped me relax and not worry too much about the numbers!
Oh I’m jealous of that gym! It looks great:)
Thanks AJ! It has been so nice 🙂 I hope February was a good month for you. Hard to believe that it is almost March.
I know! I don’t know where those first two months of the year went!
