I am going to continue focusing on yoga, but I think it is time for me to add in some resistance training.  I always feel a little extra motivation at the beginning of the month because I love streaking!!! *Head outta the gutter now please 😉 *  And by that I mean that I love seeing how many days in a row I can stick to something.

  1. I have a my fitness pal account from years ago I think, and there was another one called fit day or something like that, but those never lasted long with me…

Well done for the consistency though! I’ve just come back from vacation and now I really need to get stuck in with working out again, can’t wait!

    1. Hi Hoi Yin Li!
Welcome back! I hope you had a fun vacation. You should add me on my fitness pal: aquagirl7.
What kind of workouts are you planning on doing? I mainly did yoga for most of February because I got a little overwhelmed, but I feel ready to start picking up the other workouts again.

  2. I want to work my way up to being really consistent and more active but I know that’s not an overnight story so I want to start slow. I quite fancy doing the planking challenge because I remember doing that sometime last year and found it challenging! I think for the first month, I will focus on warming up, stretching and opening my body because it really has been months since I last properly worked out.

    1. Those are great goals! I have started taking a similar approach by slowing down and paying more attention to what my body needs. I think it is really smart to start slowly and gradually build up and find a way to make it fun too!

      1. I did in January for and stuck with it for 7 days. I cut out bread and sugar and ate giant salads with my dinner. I also planned out my meals the night before and stuck with strict portions, but I fell off after awhile. I am still eating a lot more veggies than I used to, but could clean up my act overall. How about you? Do you stick with a specific plan when it comes to diet?

      2. I think I need to cut out bread and pastries for the time being too! I think the problem is sometimes having a late dinner which cannot be helped because of work so I need to control portion size and also have less meat. At the moment it’s a bit heavy. I think I sometimes do well for breakfast and lunch but then dinner spoils it. I have never stuck to a diet to be honest but I am thinking to for the time being, to completely cut out bread, chips, chocolate, processed sugary foods, have less caffeine. Like you, preparing the night before would probably do me a lot of good!

      3. I will join you on this adventure! I can relate because a late work schedule definitely does impact your energy levels and also appetite. I am going to start having full days on campus this next quarter so it will be good for me to clean up my nutrition. Something that has helped me especially at dinner is to make sure that I always have a large portion of veggies or a salad and I eat that before everything else. Sometimes salads get boring so I like to roast veggies in the oven especially cauliflower with some herbs, seasalt, pepper, and squeezed lemon. Also frozen veggies are a great time saver and so affordable too. I want to cut down on caffeine, sugary/processed foods, and bread too. Yeah, diets are hard for me to stick with I am trying to think of it more as a lifestyle. A long-term solution rather than a quick fix. It is a process that may not happen over night, but as long as we never give up we got this! ❤
