Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
It is happening!!! I am finally making a bullet journal!
After years of thinking about it then wanting to do it; I finally got myself a notebook and decided to create a bullet journal for myself! This reminds of me of the time when I wanted to make a vision board… I bought the poster board back in 2014 and always wanted to do it, but never got around to it. I think I was just afraid of dreaming BIG. Then finally in 2017, my late Professor Kabby Mitchell iii gave us an assignment to make a vision board and share it with the class. It felt good to finally make my goal a reality after putting it off for 3 years!
If you have been following me you probably know that my planners are a big deal to me. I have spent a lot of time searching for an ideal calendar / agenda to help me organize my life. For the past 3 years I have been hooked on Cassey Ho’s Blogilates planners!
Here are my past calendar reviews:
Blogilates Focus Journal 2017 – 2018
Blogilates 2016 “Your Year To Grow Planner”
I love Cassey’s planners and many of my top blog views have been these calendar review posts. She currently has another planner for sale right now and I was just about to drop it in my shopping cart when I remembered that I have always wanted to make a bullet journal.
I have been wanting to get into some form of art and I decided that this is a great way for me to dip my toes in and get back into being creative. I have honestly been questioning whether or not bullet journaling is worth all this effort and I am about to find out!
Here is my set up for now:
- Year at-a-glance.
- Index / Table of Contents.
- Intro Month Page.
- Monthly Calendar.
- Vertical Personal Log.
- Blog Log.
- Habit Tracker.
- Mood Tracker.
- Expenses Page.
- Brain Dump.
- Weekly Log.
- Daily Pages.
- August Review.

I totally messed up and did not realize it until the damage was done… I accidentally started each week on the first day of the month which happens to be Wednesday rather than Monday. I am just going to call it a rookie mistake! I guess I am allowed to be human every once in awhile 😉
Do you have a bullet journal or are you thinking of starting one? Please comment below to share!
Love, Joy, and Blessings Always,

Great start! I would love to have the time to bullet journal x
Awww Thanks! Yes, that was my problem too. Finding time. I started on a rainy day. If you don’t have time to do a full-on journal you could try doing a single page like a habit tracker or mood tracker once a month. There are some really fun and creative ideas on pinterest and insta 🙂
❤ Alana
Aww yeah thats a great little idea xx
Your bullet journal looks awesome 😀
I have been doing one all of this year, I am amazed that I have kept it up!! I accidental forgot to do Augusts monthly plan as I didn’t notice the month had changed until after I did my daily page…so august is in the wrong order but never mind…
Pics of mine are here 🙂
Hi Sam! Thank you. Wow! Great job on doing bullet journaling for an entire year. It is such a fun creative outlet. Your bullet journal is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. And yes, August sure snuck up on me. Where has the summer gone?
❤ Alana
I wasn’t sure I’d keep it up tbh but I love doing it 😊
I noticed that it keeps me inspired and gives me something to look forward to 🙂
Me too funnily enough…
I like colouring in the little tracker boxes 😂
(Which sounds silly but it it true 😁)
Congrats! This is awesome!!!
Thanks! It has been a lot of fun. I am trying to think about what my theme will be for september now 🙂
It was so interesting to read your habits on the tracker! Some of these are definitely ones I need to start doing! Otherwise, love the simple layouts – thanks for sharing x
Thank you! I think the habit tracker has been the page that I use the most in my bullet journal. POM #1, #2, and #3 stands for Period Of Movement. So the goal was 3 little bursts of exercise per day 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and reading and good luck with your healthy habits!
❤ Alana
Ah that’s so interesting! Will try some of them out! Thanks also! Joanna x
Your mood tracker is so cute!!
Thanks a bunch! It was a lot of fun to make 🙂
Your journal is so pretty!! 😊
Thank you Pauline 🙂 It has been a fun project!
