Be-YOU-tifully YOU Project: Week #32

Sip Sip

There are only 4 months left in this year…  That is a sad thought, isn’t it?  My co-worker said it at work yesterday and today it has sunk in. 2018 will be over before we know it and soon we will be ringing in a new year.  Time flies when you are having fun!

I joined a gym last Friday and finally went in for my 1st gym workout in years last Monday.  It was a little rough since I accidentally got knocked over, but Tuesday felt a lot better especially since I did not trip.

By the time Wednesday hit, I was a nervous wreck.  I almost talked myself out of going in to the gym and I think it was because I felt intimidated and nervous about being around other people.  Right now I am sticking with Free Weight workouts because that is where I am comfortable.  I had to txt my friend and commit to going into the gym.  She encouraged me to go and I forced myself to do it.

Thursday was a little better and it was nice because it was my last day of lifting for the week.  I have decided that I am going to lift Monday – Thursday and follow each lifting session with Cardio.  Friday will be my rest day and I am still figuring out what I am going to do with my weekends.  Yesterday I did a booty bands workout followed by Buti Yoga.  The yoga felt so good that I am going to do it again today followed by pilates if I feel extra motivated.

  • Quit nagging.  I am doing a lot better with this especially now that I am going  to the gym.  It tires me out enough.
  • Listen.  I am working on staying present while I listen.
  • Cultivate healthy relationships.  This is so important to me and I think it is coming along nicely.
  • No dumping.  I do not have many complaints and that makes it easy to avoid dumping 🙂
  • No Complaining.  I am getting better with this too.
  • Give proofs of love.  Yes!

Right now my main priorities are my health / weight loss and my job.  Luckily my job is not super strenuous.  I just have to provide good customer service and take care of our clients.  I am going to do my best to not stress about work because that is not necessary at all.  It feels so good to be working out again.  I want to keep learning and challenging myself.
