Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
This is my 2nd week of going to the gym and I am enjoying it, but I have also been hit with pretty severe anxiety every time I get ready to go. There were even a couple of times that I sat in the parking lot, a nervous wreck, and almost drove home. Thankfully I was able to txt a friend and commit to going in. This week has been no different, in fact, it almost feels like my nervousness has gone up. Yesterday it was so intense that I decided to just hide out upstairs and do my workout there.
Today I was hoping to hide out again, but upstairs was already busy so I headed down to the free weights and made it a point to zone out (stretching and flailing my arms awkwardly between sets.)
WORKOUT OF THE DAY: BACK & BICEPS
- 4 x 10 Single-Arm Dumbbell Row (on all 4’s) [20 lbs]
Super set: 3 x 10
- Military Press (20 lbs)
- Cross-body Single- arm Wide Row (20 lbs)
Super set: 3 x 10
- Dumbbell Reverse Fly (10 lbs)
- Rotating Bent Over Row (20 lbs)
Burn Out: 3 x 30
- 10 Outward Bicep Curls (10 lbs)
- 10 Forward Bicep Curls
- 10 Hammer Bicep Curls
I was a sweaty mess, but I made it through! After that I walked on the stairmaster for 35 minutes at Level 7. It just about killed me, but I got through that one too!

I’m so sorry you get that anxious.
Awww thank you. I hope that I won’t always get so anxious and nervous. I will just keep stepping outside of my comfort zone and hopefully it will pay off soon 🙂
