Tis’ the season when people show up to class sneezing with snotty noses and coughs. Last night I started feeling a sore throat and I gargled with salt water first thing this morning.
It is that time of year when germs are rampant, people are getting sick, and we are more susceptible to catching colds. So stay hydrated, wash your hands, get enough sleep, eat balanced meals, and be courteous to others.
On another note…
Did you know that 1 Tablespoon of honey has 17 grams of carbs?!?!
I honestly had NO idea! My usual remedy for a sore throat or any kind of sickness is tea with honey or even just straight up honey. If you have been following along with me you might know that I am following a keto way of eating which limits my carbs to 30 grams of net carbs a day so honey would give me a lot of carbs in a hurry.
I have been loving my coffee with a spoon of coconut oil, but today I am swapping my delicious cup of coffee for a cup of green tea with no honey.
