Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
Let’s catch up, shall we? It took me a little over 2 weeks to recover from my health issues. I am so thankful that I had the past week of from school!
The week before this past week:
That week was messy. I tried going to school on Tuesday, but was still too sick to attend class and had to go home and rest. We had a couple of mishaps with our group, but thankfully myself and another group member were able to repair the relationship with our organization and we have been given the opportunity to redeem ourselves by giving a good presentation in 2 weeks. I want to give a great presentation!
I was still feeling fairly sick and week on Saturday morning, but I did not want to miss my COMMIT Dance Fitness licensing workshop. I went with my friend April and managed to make it through all 8 hrs of the workshop and earn my instructor’s certificate!
Last Sunday (the day after my 8 hr dance workshop) my friends took me ice skating for the very first time. I was so scared that I almost did not go, but I am so glad that I did. My friend Diana stayed with me until I felt comfortable enough to skate on my own!
This Past Week:
Monday: I went to Valerie’s morning Zumba class and had a blast! I was just about to do a strength training workout when my friend Ayana txted me and asked if I wanted to meet for lunch. It was perfect timing because my appointment was also downtown! That afternoon one of the other people in my final group presentation met with me and our organization and we mapped out some slides and a plan.
Tuesday: I had a blast at morning Zumba and my instructor asked me if I would prepare some dance choreo to share with the class the next day! I did a strength training workout for the first time in over a week and felt great! I was so honored and excited and started creating choreography the minute I got home. I also go invited to go for a walk with Diana and the 4 dogs. After the walk we made a chicken veggie stir-fry. I think the highlight of Tuesday was meeting with my friend Paige. Who drove 7 hours across the state to visit family and friends!
Wednesday: I had a fitness assessment at my gym then went home to practice my choreo and prepare for the zumba class. I was so excited to share my dance with everyone. I showed up a half hr early and practiced with the other instructors, Meck Meck and Regina. I was thrilled when I got to get up on stage and share my choreo!
Thursday: I celebrated Thanksgiving with my parents and my sister. It was a little stressful, but we had a good time. I drank half a glass of wine and had a few puffs of my sister’s weed. I also was aware of what I was eating, but did not strictly restrict myself. That night I suffered and felt like garbage. I thought I was going to be sick. Thankfully I fell asleep before that could happen.
Friday: I thankfully woke up feeling normal and went to morning Zumba / Mixxedfit with my Mom. That afternoon my friend Danika treated me to Russian Dumplings for lunch and then we went to the toy shop. That night I went to my friend Regina’s Zumba class for a 2nd round of invigorating Zumba!
Saturday: Yesterday morning I practiced my new choreo then joined my friend Diana for ice skating. That time around my ankles were a little sore. I was feeling stressed about my group project and the fact that the other members in my group have been unresponsive. Overall it was an emotionally draining day.
Today: I am still feeling fairly drained today. I think it carried over from yesterday. After I finish this post I am going to take a shower then take action. I always do better when I am organized so I will open up my planner and write in my appointments. This is going to be a busy week, but I will take it a day at a time.
