Happy New Year Everyone!
2018 was not a bad year for me, but I have a feeling that 2019 is going to be even better! How was your New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day?! My New Year’s Eve was super relaxing and New Year’s Day was chill for the 1st half of the day then full of excitement and impromptu adventures throughout the 2nd half!
I managed to start intermittent fasting (well, I will find out for sure tomorrow morning if I can manage to continue with it.) My 1st meal of 2019 was homemade steak Tom Yum Gai soup with coconut.
I did not think that I was going to do a polar plunge or anything athletic today. I even declared out loud that I was completely okay with not freezing my butt off today and right in that moment I got a message from Diana. She said, “Do you want to go for a swim?” And I said “HELL YEAH!!!!!” Or something of the sort 😉 All of a sudden I felt super enthusiastic, excited and ready to take on the world! We were going for another swim in the Puget Sound!!!
The water was icy cold, but it helped me feel more alive. It felt so good to dip my head in and swim. The hardest part is getting out of the water, but it is a good way to practice mental strength.
After the swim we headed to Shari’s for a New Year’s Day meal and some hot coffee. We also got to catch up with our friend Kathy on the phone. After dinner we saw the most beautiful sunset then picked up ice cream, followed by some good wine and weed (don’t judge) and ended the evening with meditation.
Now I am at home counting down the days until my big move to a sunnier place!
Happy New Year my Dear Darling Friends! Let’s make this year our best one yet!!!
