Workout and Word of the Day #3

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

It feels great to work out consistently again.  There is a definitely a direct correlation between working out and my mood.  I flew in to Scottsdale then had the joy of working out in the gym at the resort.  This was my first time lifting weights in over a month and it felt great!

Today’s Workout:  Leg Day (w/ some back)

  • 3 x 10 salmon ladders
  • 25 Push-ups
  • 3 x 20 Hip Thrusts
  • 25 Push-ups
  • 3 x 12 Dumbbell Rows
  • 25 Push-ups
  • 3 x 20 Russian Twists (w/ medicine ball)
  • 25 Push-ups
  • 3 x 20 Butterfly crunches

Word of the Day:

palladium– noun

  1. Anything believed to provide safety or protection.
  2. A statue of Athena especially one on the citadel of Troy on which the safety of the city was supposed to depend.

I weighed myself today and found out that I have gained about 6 pounds since the last time I weighed myself which was before Christmas.  I am not surprised because back then I was barely eating and could not sleep.  Also, I had the pleasure of enjoying homemade buttered sourdough bread with peanut butter almost every day for the past 3 weeks.  There is a trade off, right?

This week my goal is to do strength training at least 3 times and cardio 5 times.  What are your fitness goals for the week?  Please comment below to share!

    1. These are great goals and I am cheering you on! I did keto for 2 months before the holidays and got really great results weightloss and energy wise. I want to get back on track once I get fully moved. Keep up the great work!
