I took a rest day yesterday and woke up feeling refreshed! Even though it was my rest day, I decided that I am going to add yoga to my morning routine (even if it is just 15 minutes, it still counts)!
Last winter, I started my day with yoga followed by meditation and it changed my life by helping me cut down on stress. I eventually got “busy” and let other priorities like “sleeping longer because I stayed up too late” take precedence, but I missed the clarity of having a morning routine.

I love the way that yoga reminds me to focus on my breath and to be aware of my body.
Today’s Workout: Whole body + 30 min. Elliptical
Complete each exercise 2 x 20 times!
- C Sweeps
- Side kick
- Ball Pike
- Russian Twists
- Crossover Crunch
I have noticed that I am using lighter weights to focus on proper technique / form. I would rather build a strong foundation properly than lift too heavy and get injured. I am all about injury prevention!
