I hope you had a good Monday. I am happy because I have a better idea of my plan for my workouts. I want to do lower body on Mon/Wed/Fri then a push day on Tuesday then a pull day on Thursday.
Workout of the Day: Legs + Hiit
*Complete each exercise 3 x 20 times
- Body weight Hip Thrust
- Body weight Full Squat
- Body weight Back Extension
- Side Lying Clam
Hiit!
*45 Seconds on 15 seconds off
- Butt Kicks
- Jump Squats
- 8 Counts
- Mountain Climbers
- Side Lunges
- Jumping Lunges
*Complete this circuit twice!
Part 2:
- Mountain Climbers- 40 seconds
- Forearm Planks- 20 seconds
Rest one minute.
- Plank Jacks- 40 seconds
- Forearm Planks- 20 seconds
Rest one minute.
- Lateral Plank Walks- 40 seconds
- Forearm Planks- 20 seconds
*Complete this circuit twice!
By the end of this workout I was sweating and my heart was beating fast. In fact this was happening the entire time! I think I am going to switch from cardio equipment to doing more of a hiit style workout after lifting. I do have to say that I really miss taking my dance classes.
Word of the Day:
octothorpe– noun
- Another term for the pound # sign.
I had no idea that the pound sign or now popular hashtag symbol is actually called the octothorpe. I discovered this fact today when I started learning CSS and started playing with colors. They reviewed hexadecimal and the fact that the hashtag symbol is called the octothorpe. You learn something new everyday!
How was your day? I have noticed that my day begins well. I have a good morning routine in place and that makes all the difference, but as my day goes on I get sad. It could be from all the changes, but I also think that I need to be more busy.
I am happier when I am busy and productive. I have been busy with my school work and my workouts, but I think I need something more. I will let you know when I figure out what that is.
I know that this past quarter I was uplifted because I had my zumba and dance classes and I met my friend Diana for runs with the dogs and cooking. I think I probably just need to be more involved.
