Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I stayed up late last night then slept in this morning. I think I underestimated my cold weather abilities yesterday. I wore shorts and a sweater to lunch and when I went for a late-night walk I did not wear enough layers and was freezing.
I thought I would be okay, but it does get really cold at night in the desert. Around 5 this morning, I felt the hint of a head cold so I took a zicam zinc lozenge and I think that thankfully did the trick. Lesson learned. I will bundle up more from now on even though my anxiety sometimes makes me sweat in public.
The good news is that my anxiety has gone down and my confidence has grown at the gym. It helps that I am usually the only one there, but we have to celebrate those little wins. I even bring my own foam roller on leg days and a yoga mat for core and pull days.
Today’s Workout: Hiit + Pull Day
I decided to start my workout with hiit on the treadmill. I did 3 minutes of an easy walk for warm up then 1 minute sprint followed by 1 minute easy 5 times.

- 5 x 5 1-arm Rows
- 5 x 5 Wide-grip Lat Pull-Downs
- 5 x 5 Seated Rows

I hope you had a good day today. I had a great day and was in much higher spirits than I have been in a long time. I think it helps that I have been getting more sleep and am eating more balanced meals.
