Workout and Word of the Day #29

Happy Friday My Dear Darling Friends!

I may drag through Thursdays, but I always feel energized on Fridays!  What is the weather like for you?  It has been rainy and grey for the past 3 days.  I noticed that the rain was a little energetically draining, but I was thankful for this observation.  I would rather know the reasons why I feel a certain way than not.

Today’s Workout: Hinge Day + Core + Steady State Cardio

The gym was a little busy when I arrived so I decided to kick off my workout with 5 hiit sprints on the treadmill.  1 minute on and 1 minute off.  That got my heart pumping and the sweat dripping early in the game!

Hinge Workout:

  • 3 x 10 Weighted Glute Bridge
  • 3 x 10 Goblet Full Squat
  • 3 x 10 Romanian Deadlift
  • 1 x 10 both sides Dumbbell Side Bend

Core Workout: 30 seconds on 10 seconds rest

  • Heel Taps
  • Scissors
  • Straight Let Raise
  • Roll Up
  • Windmills
  • Penguins

*Complete this circuit 3 times.

I have been doing less steady state cardio these days, but I like to get it in at least once a week on Fridays.  I use it as a chance to listen to podcasts.

Word of the Day:

futilitarian– noun

  1. A person who believes that human hopes are vain, and human strivings are unjustified.

This is the end of week 3/4 for my current exercises.  1 more week and then I am going to switch things up again.  Do you have fun plans for the weekend?  I am going to spend time studying and probably cleaning my house because I am having company next week!
