Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I spent a majority of this weekend feeling fairly worn out. I think it was a combination of stress and being that time of the month. I chose to sleep in and to be gentle with myself.
I drove around for awhile in search of brunch and decided that I would rather cook brunch at home as long as I got an iced coffee. I am so glad that I did. It seemed like every single restaurant and breakfast joint in Scottsdale was jam packed!
It was a yummy brunch and after that I spent a few hours working on my app! The quarter is almost finished and I am excited because the company I am working for wants me to do another internship for spring quarter!
After studying, I went for a walk in the sunshine. It was a beautiful day and everyone seemed to have the same idea of being out and about!
When I got home I organized my bathroom drawer. It was starting to bug me.
Self-care is definitely organizing your life!
I wanted to sit in the hot tub and enjoy the sunshine, but there were a ton of people out in the pool area. Hopefully soon I will be a little less shy.
I successfully rested from my workouts today which was good considering I worked out hard 6/7 days of the week. I took my measurements and was disappointed that I went up in measurements since 2/17. I am trying not to take this too hard. I have not weighed myself since January and I am nearly positive that I have made progress with my body composition. It can be very challenging mentally when the numbers do not go down, but I am doing my best to love myself the way I am right now.
It was a little bit like pulling teeth to get myself to relax, but I finally drew a bath with matcha epsom salt, essential oils, and a colorful bath bomb. I lit my favorite candles and turned on some relaxing music.
It was hard for me to relax, but I know I will get there with practice.
