Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
Happy Wednesday! It seems like I have fallen a little behind with my overall posting, but luckily, I have kept up with my workouts!
I have discovered that my body must be decently acclimated to caffeine because I am using a pre-workout on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I have not felt like I am going to lose my mind, yet. I have chosen Tues/Thurs because I do not want to overdo it or become dependent on a supplement. Overall, I feel pretty motivated to workout my lower body on M/W/F, but the upper body days need a little extra boost.
Today’s Workout is: Lower Body / gait focused + steady state cardio
- Bodyweight single-leg hip thrust 3 x 12
- Bodyweight skater squat 3 x 12
- Dumbbell single-leg Romanian deadlift 3 x 12
- Banded seat abduction 20 leaning forward / 20 sitting upright/ 20 leaning back
I did one hourglass circuit, but I just was not feeling it today so I decided to move on to steady state cardio. I am doing more cardio workouts now because summer is near and I would like to whittle away a cute and curvy waist. I know that spot training is not a thing, but I am trying to maintain a caloric deficit so that I can drop body fat.
I spent 40 minutes on the elliptical alternating between using the arm levers and working on balance and core engagement without the levers. I am hoping to start dancing again soon so that I can add some variety to my cardio sessions.
Today’s Word of the Day is:

- To corrupt the spirit of.
- To become corrupted.
Ugh, this is not my favorite word, but not all words can be beautiful, right? I always think of canker sores when I see this word, but it is interesting to see it used as a verb. I kind of like the 2nd definition which talks about corrupting the spirit. It is pretty visual too.
