Be-YOU-tifully YOU Project 2.0 Week #12

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

This was an exciting and eventful week for me!  I will just go through it day-by-day so you can get a nice overview!

Last Sunday / Monday:  I was here with you talking about how I was getting through another bout of depression.  I am so thankful that feelings and things change.  I am currently in Scottsdale, Arizona (could not whether through the cold winter in Maine) and I have set my horizons on going to a cooler place for the summer months before the desert bakes here in AZ.

First I was thinking about California…  Who doesn’t want to live there.  It is beautiful, close to the beach, and there are places with nice little micro-climates.  There is also a lot to do, but then I decided to dream bigger and set my sights on Hawaii!  Why not live in paradise if and when you have a chance?

Meanwhile, Tristan Roberts and Ben were coming to visit as they were passing through.  It was a pleasant visit with Thai food in the evening then sitting in the sun the next day before they headed off to continue their adventures.  It turns out that many of the museums are closed on Mondays (note to self.)

Now if you are wondering, who in the world is Tristan Roberts and why does he matter?  You can read about him here:

Tuesday: I am proud of the fact that I did not  miss any workouts this week.  That is definitely progress.  I worked on my final project  for school and also cooked up a storm and made my own version of oxtail stew!  I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome and deliciousness.

Oxtail soup probably sounds odd especially if you were not raised eating it, but it is surprisingly delicious.  Let me know if you are interested in the recipe and I will write a post about it 🙂

On Tuesday night I started looking for property in Hawaii and found a few, but there was one that I absolutely fell in love with…

Wednesday:  I continued to study and workout.  I took a good amount of time to reflect on the past year, my weightloss journey thus far, and the progress I have made!  Also, contacted the realtor and did research on the area…

Thursday: Put in an offer.  Ahhh!   #fingerscrossed Something that I decided to change this week was I started cooking breakfast before my workouts.  I think that it is a good way to save money and balance out my nutrition (rather than depending so heavily on whey protein.)

It was a very hectic day.  I took both kitties to the vet with me.  There was also a minor snafu and I am so thankful that I checked our kitty carriers ahead of time.  When I found them I found out that they were both broken.  The hard carrier was completely missing its door and the soft carrier had nothing but busted zippers and broken clasps.  My babies are definitely escape artists.

The OG carriers served their purpose and made the journey from Washington to Florida.  Then Florida to Maine.  Then Maine to Arizona.  So I guess I can’t complain too much!

It was the very 1st time that I have brought two cats to the vet.  They were so well-behaved and oh so popular.  I love these two!  Also these new TSA-approved carriers are bad and boujee, right?!?!

Friday: I worked out then cleaned the house from top to bottom.  I also got to chat with my sis.  It was a great day overall.

Saturday:  The property owners proposed a counter offer and it is signed!  AHHH  the process is started and I can start working towards living the dream!!! SO EXCITED!!!

I feel so blessed that so many wonderful things have happened this week.  I cannot wait to see what the future brings!

“Peace is the result of retraining your mind to process life as it is, rather than as you think it should be.”

  • Breathe Deeply.  Not enough…  Oh well, it is an ongoing thing…
  • Meditate Nope, but next month it is going DOWN!!!
  • Yoga EVERY DAMN Day!!!  Oh noes!
  • Sing.  Nope
  • Draw Naww
  • Begin Spring cleaning.  YES!
  • Laugh out LOUD.  Need to do more of this!

Excuse me…  Where in the world did the month of March go?  I cannot believe that April begins next week…  Not that I am complaining or anything 😉

I always like to look ahead so that I can get my mind, heart, and soul right and ready for the next set of goals!  This next month is going to require a lot of work and growth and I say BRING IT!!!

“Grit is that ‘extra something’ that separates the most successful people from the rest.  It’s the passion, perseverance, and stamina that we must channel in order to stick with our dreams until they become a reality.”

I am learning that when it comes to pursuing our goals and dreams, consistency is key!  Also, things do not have to be done perfectly, but doing something is better than not doing it at all.
