Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
We have reached the halfway point of the week! I always enjoy Wednesdays and always feel very energetic. I have been going for long walks at night and getting to bed a later than before, but it all seems to be working out which is nice. I think that my body is functioning a lot more efficiently now that I am in better condition. Thank you consistent workouts! And thank you blog friends for being so supportive and encouraging! It has helped me tremendously to blog about my journey and it holds me accountable!
Today’s Workout is: Leg Day (single leg dominant) + Hourglass Workout
- Body weight single-leg hip thrust 3 x 12
- Body weight skater squat 3 x 12
- DB Single Leg Romanian Deadlift 3 x 12
- Banded Seat Abduction 1 x 30
I am currently in Week #8 in this workout exercise cycle and next week I will choose new exercises for weeks 9-12. I remember when I started doing this Wednesday workout in week #5, these exercises were new and challenging for me. Especially the body weight skater squats because they are single leg exercises. Now I feel a lot more accustomed to the movement patterns and my balance has improved a lot. These little wins keep me consistent and coming back for more workouts!
Hourglass Workout: Complete this circuit 3 times!
- Side Plank Lift 15
- Plank w/ hip dip 15
- Twisting V-ups 15
- Side Plank w/ Leg Lifts 15
- Plank w/ side kick.
I will admit that I really wanted to skip this hourglass workout, thankfully I decided to just do it. You can read more here about the techniques I used to do this entire hourglass workout.
And once I was done I was SO glad that I did it! Isn’t that how it always works out?!?!
