Workout and Word of the Day #43

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

I hope you are having a great week!  I have noticed positive changes ever since I started eating breakfast before my workouts.  I have a lot more energy and my mood feels more stable throughout the day.  My favorite breakfast has been 1/2 cup of gluten free oats with a scoop of whey protein, collagen peptides, and an apple.  I have a cup of coffee on M/W/F, but not on Tuesdays and Thursdays because those are the days that I take pre-workout.

I felt pretty wiped out and noticed that my appetite was a lot higher after yesterday’s leg and hourglass workout.  I have been trying to observe and find out if it is legit hunger or if I am just wanting to eat out of boredom.  I think I also need to do a better job of staying hydrated and I could eat more veggies too.  See?  There are always ways to improve!

Today’s Workout: Shoulders + Triceps + Hiit

  1. Seated DB Press 3 x 20
  2. Seated Arnold Press 3 x 12
  3. DB Front Raise 3 x 20
  4. DB Lateral Raise 3 x 20
  5. Tricep Extensions 3 x 15
  6. Seated French Press 3 x 15
  7. Single-arm Tricep Extensions 3 x 12
  8. Tricep Bench Dips 3 x 25
  9. Single Leg Drops 3 x 20
  10. Penguins 2 x 20

*Do 30 seconds of hiit exercises between each set.  I did 180 degree jump squats, pulse split lunges, Jumping Jax, High Knees, Front/Side/Back Lunges, Pike ball crunches, plie squats, jumping jax

One of the definite perks of practicing healthy habits is that they build on each other!  For example, now that I work out I make sure that I clean the dishes before bed so that I have clean dishes to use in the morning.  Also, I do laundry regularly so that I will have clean workout clothes?  These are habits that once felt like chores not so long ago and I am so happy that they have become a part of my life!
