Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
Spring is here! The Mercury retrograde is over! It is a brand new month! And folks are starting to hit the gym and build their summer bodies!
I am usually one of the only people at my gym in the morning, but today 4 other girls came to workout shortly after me. Usually, I would feel a strong sense of gym anxiety returning, but today I felt okay and I was even able to fit in 3 rounds of my hourglass workout.
I am honestly still feeling nervous about the thought of a crowded gym, but I am going to try not to focus on that. I have made so much progress and I want to keep moving forward from those days of gym-phobia.
I started my day earlier than usual and even got in some morning power yoga before breakfast!
Today’s Workout: Hiit warm-up + Leg Day + Hourglass Workout
I noticed a good difference and was able to warm up quicker than usual since I did yoga earlier in the day. I did 5 one-minute sprints with an easy walk between each one and my last sprint was faster than my usual fastest sprint at 8.2!
- Banded Dumbbell Hip Thrust 3 x 20
- Dumbbell Deficit Bulgarian Split Squat 3 x 12
- Dumbbell Deadlifts 3 x 10
Hourglass Workout: Do 3 sets!
- Side Plank Lift (15)
- Plank with hip twists (15)
- Twisting V-ups (10)
- Side Plank w/ leg lifts (10)
- Plank with side kicks (10)
I can feel myself getting stronger every time I do this workout and it is a great feeling!
