Workout and Word of the Day #52

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

I feel great about the fact that my butt still feels sore from yesterday’s workout!  That means the workout worked, right?!?!

My body image and confidence is improving with these workouts, but I still go through frequent periods of being extra critical of myself.  And by “frequent periods” I mean 3-4 times a week!  I guess when you are in the picture and you take a picture after every workout you start to wonder if you are even making progress…  I am just going to keep going and trust the process.

I know in my heart that I am growing stronger everyday and I can feel the difference.  My bad habits of putting myself down are just so strong and I am trying to catch myself each time it happens and to stop myself before the damage is done.

Workout of the Day: Chest / Triceps

  • 2 x 30 Standard Push-ups
  • 3 x 10 Reptile Push-ups
  • 4 x 10 Single Arm Dumbbell Fly to Double arm Dumbbell Fly
  • Jump Squats (between each set

Superset | 4 times

  • 30 Second close-grip press
  • 30 second rest

Superset | 4 times

  • 30 Second Dumbbell Chest Press
  • 30 Second rest

Normal sets:

  • 3 x 20 Tricep Extensions
  • 3 x 15 Seated French Press
  • 3 x 10 Single Arm Extensions

Superset | 4 times

  • 10 Tricep Dips
  • 10 Plyo Push-ups

I had the whole gym to myself the entire time and I felt strong throughout the entire workout!  It was so nice 🙂

Today’s Word of the Day is:

unami– noun

This was today!

In that first picture, I hated taking pics of myself because I was ashamed of my condition and I wanted to hide.  Actually, back then I had made progress from where I was before.  Now I am so glad that I take pictures so that I can celebrate my hard work and progress.

Do you take progress pics?  Comment below!
