I love the fact that I can talk about what I am going through here. Growing stronger and becoming the best versions of ourselves is definitely a process and it takes time. I just wanted to take some time to thank you for reading and offering your words of support and encouragement. It means the world to me and it helps keep me accountable ❤
Today’s Workout: Chest / Triceps
- 2 x 30 Standard Push-ups
- 3 x 10 Reptile Push-ups (I don’t think these ever get easier!)
- 4 x 10 Single Arm DB Fly to Double Arm DB Fly on the ball
Superset | 4 times
- 30 seconds Close Grip Press
- 30 seconds Rest
- 30 seconds DB Chest Press
- 30 seconds Rest
- 3 x 20 Tricep Extensions
- 3 x 12 Seated French Press
- 3 x 10 Single Arm Tricep Extension
My mind started wandering right when I started the tricep exercises and I became super critical of myself. I have been struggling with motivation these past 2 weeks and I am hoping it is just due to the sadness that has run through my life these past 2 weeks. Up until I found out that my Grandma had her stroke; I was super enthused about working out. Then Grandma passed this past Friday and I have noticed that my energy levels and motivation have dipped even lower.
Somehow, I have managed to continue showing up for myself, but my self talk has been so meanspirited and discouraging. I show up and I challenge myself to work hard everyday and a big part of me worries that it is not enough…

Thanks for joining me for another workout and word of the day. I left out my superset with 10 dips and 10 plyo push-ups at the end of the workout because I got invited to lunch and sometimes that is okay to simply chop off the ending.
