Be-YOU-tifully YOU Project 2.0 Week #20

2019

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

It rained this entire week and it provided a good backdrop for some self-reflection.  After 2 exciting weeks full of traveling, high energy, and adventures it was nice to take some time to regroup.

Initially, I thought I was going to start hitting the gym again this past Monday after taking a week off, but when that did not happen; I decided I would take a 2nd week off.  The funny thing is that I started working out again on that very day!  I have started going for daily walks and doing some at-home workouts.

I am okay with the fact that I am abandoning my plan to join a local gym and hit it hard this month.  2 weeks have passed by and I think this is a good time to take off in another direction.  I don’t know if you read some of my earlier posts, but I worked out hard for over 12 consistent weeks and was starting to get burned out and put too much pressure on myself.  My new plan is to rebuild my foundation and still stay active, but to listen to my body and treat it with kindness.  This morning I also decided to join my friend Diana in reaching a state of ketosis.

When I started working out hard I distanced myself from the keto / IF lifestyle, but I am going to focus more on nutrition these next few weeks.  I think this is the right time to do it and I will keep you posted.  I am not planning on going full on keto long term, but I think this is a good way to clean the slate.  My skin also needs a little TLC too!

This past week kept me busy with work and now I need to get caught up with my school work.  It is also time for me to go through my belongings again and figure out what I want to give away and which items I want to take with me.  It is definitely a process!

MAY: KINDNESS

“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others.  For beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness.  And for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”

-Audrey Hepburn

  • Be generous.
  • Be present.
  • Don’t gossip.
  • Write letters.
  • Remember Birthdays.
  • Do something nice for someone.

Overall, I am working on being kind to myself.  Sometimes it is really challenging and so easy to be overly critical and discouraging.  I will try again this week.

Here are my posts from this past week:

I am proud of how much I wrote blog posts this week!  I want to start thinking about how to create more creative content without putting too much pressure on myself.
