Workout and Word of the Day #80

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

I have given up coffee, alcohol, and sleep aids for the past 4.5 days and I am pleased with the outcome.  I did notice a midday crash (even without the coffee), but I was also less reactive.  I am also enjoying my new sleep schedule which involves me feeling sleepy by the end of the day (without help for the most part, but I still do play candy crush until my eyes shut) and waking up naturally at an earlier hour.

Yesterday we acquired a new coffee maker and I did start drinking coffee today, but I am a lot more mindful than before.  I could tell when I was feeling a little strung out from the caffeine high and I drank a lot of water to counteract the yucky feelings.  I also managed to not eat until noon so I think I will start intermittent fasting today with an eating window from 12-8.  I am curious to see how reintroducing coffee will affect my sleeping pattern.  I will keep you posted on that.

Workout of the Day: 100 Glute Challenge | Day 1 + Upper Body + Yoga

Day 1 Butterfly Bridges | 100 Glute Challenge

This was the very first workout of the 100 Glute Challenge with Cassey!  I have never participated in her challenges from start to finish and this time around I would like to stick with it.  The move was Butterfly Bridges which was a lot of fun, but this morning I woke up with a sore knee.  I do not think it was caused by this exercise, but I just want to remind you to listen to your body.  If your joints or any part of your body starts hurting, then modify the movement to work with you.  In this particular exercise you can modify it by doing a basic bridge.

20 Minute Upper Body + Ab Strength Workout

It has been forever since I have done a Kat Musni workout.  I think I have only done one of her workouts and that was back in 2017.  I am glad I decided to revisit her channel.  This workout was challenging and fun and she offered great modifications for every exercise!

TRUE Day 4- Floor | Yoga With Adriene

It really feels good to practice yoga once again.  I am going to keep going and keep flowing ❤

Word of the Day:

frugivorous– adjective

  1. Feeding on fruit.

I have to say that I am more frugivorous than I have ever been now that I am living in the tropics.  What is your favorite kind of fruit?  Comment below to share!
