Be-YOU-tifully YOU Project 2.0 Week #41

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

I better write this post write now and keep going until it is complete otherwise I might get side tracked a 5th time.  This is the 5th time I have sat down to write this post and I do not want to combine 2 weeks together so here goes!  I have been a little quiet this week blog-wise because life has been keeping me busy (in good ways.)

With that said, even as we speak, I am still working and intermittently working on writing this post.  I cannot complain because life is wonderful and our businesses are thriving.  Although, I do feel like I am coming down with a cold, plus it is that time of month.  I was extra stressed because I thought I might skip my cycle and my whole life flashed before me.  This time it was two days late and it seems like each month it comes a day later.  I am not saying that I don’t want to have kids someday, but I do know that I want to be the kind of mom who can help her children with their math and science homework confidently.  I want to be a person they can be proud of.  I feel like I still have so much to learn and more growing up to do.  I am at that age where there are a lot of big questions for me to ask and bigger decisions to make.  I am trying to face them all fearlessly, but sometimes it is overwhelming.

See how I managed to sneak in a mini complaining session there?  It feels good to be able to get all of that off of my chest.  I worked out consistently at the beginning of the week I also started writing  my workout and word of the day posts once again, but I noticed that both working out and blogging started to feel like a chore and my work was piling up.  Even yoga did not always get practiced, but I have been doing my morning meditation each day and I am glad that I have stuck with it. For nearly everyday this week my meditation threshold (time that I naturally spent sitting) was 8 minutes.  Today I ended up meditation for 11 minutes so that is progress.  I hope that it is helping because I cannot always tell.

I spent a lot of time in the garden and found an insect repellent that seems to be working.  I also spent the first half of the week reading before bedtime then fell off these past few days since I have been feeling under the weather.  I have been reading “Antifragile: Things That Gain from Discord” and also “Small Fry” by Lisa Brennon-Jobs.   

I think that “Antifragile” has some fascinating points and I enjoyed reading it in the beginning, but I honestly could not get through the entire book before it expired from the library (2 weeks) the writing is full of good examples, but it gets dry after awhile and feels like the author complains a lot.  Maybe someday I will attempt to finish it, but probably not any time soon.  I am really enjoying “Small Fry” a lot and am intentionally reading it slowly because I wish it wouldn’t end.  I will have to find another good book to read soon.

All 4 cats are getting along well.  It took about 7 days for complete acceptance to take place and I am glad that our household is peaceful.

This week we launched a software company called The Aloha Software Group.  Please spread the word and visit the website or let me know if you are looking for software or website help 🙂 We also got our 1st client the same day that we launched and I hired a marketing director.

I did not go on nearly enough adventures this week (mostly due to being so busy with work, gardening, and feeling under the weather.) Today I finally mustered up the courage to drive to town myself.  I went to TJ Maxx, Target, and Ross and found everything that I was looking for.  I found a summer dress, t-shirts for my man, cleaning supplies, hangers, and finally a basket for my socks and underwear.  This evening we went to Ace Hardware and got a grass whip and I got a cultivating tool.

This might be my least flattering angle EVER, but my heart is so full of joy because I have my little girl-cat Alleyjandra in my arms and Puffleton is demonstrating his downward facing dog pose cat-style.  I am learning how to value the beautiful moments more than my appearance.
