Workout and Word of the Day #107 (FB Day 2)

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

I got my workout done earlier in the day, but I saved yoga for the end of the day.  That schedule seems to work well.  I am still navigating through my work schedule, workout, and everything in between.  It can be a balancing act when you work from home.  I am not complaining, but when I have had set work hours it was almost easier because I knew where I should be at what time and then I had the rest of the time to do other things.  I do prefer working from home.

I have been doing my best to keep track of the sunlight and spend more time outdoors.  Yesterday I was able to get some gardening in during the evening hours.  It was peaceful and relaxing.  I still cannot believe how quickly everything grows around here.

Workout of the Day: FB Day 2 core, hiit, and legs + Yoga

  40 Minute Cardio Hiit Butt, thighs, and abs

I enjoyed the variety in this workout.  This is what I appreciate the most about Fitness Blender workouts.  They are no nonsense workouts that get the job done!

100 rep Squat Challenge:

We did 10 different kinds of squats and a total of 100 squats.  Once again the variety made it fun!

For lunch I had a Greek  salad wrap that had greens, alfalfa sprouts, artichokes, olives, bell peppers, and feta.  It was a nice twist on a salad and easier to eat than a full salad.  I also had Jun culture to drink which is basically Kombucha, but they use honey rather than sugar to make it.  It had a nice kick to it since it had some cayenne.

Dinner came hours later and my partner made us lots of ground beef with a parmesan sauce and some whole wheat noodles.  The least healthy part of my day was in the morning when I decided to get myself a Vietnamese cold brew coffee.  It was delicious, of course, but also a sugar bomb and I really need to cut down on my sugar.

Yoga for Change and Drain:

This was a beautiful practice with some gentle twists and a few challenging planks.  My favorite part was the ending ❤ It was happy and energizing 🙂


Word of the Day:

flaneur– noun

  1. An idler or lounger.

Thanks for joining me for a workout and word of the day.  By the end of the day I noticed that my left foot / ankle was still bothering me.  It has been sore the last 2 days.  I gently stretched and massaged it and put on an arnica rub.  This morning I realized that the way I am sitting at my desk is probably causing the pain.  It is funny how we can passively contort our bodies in unnatural ways without even noticing it.
