Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I am looking forward to my workouts rather than dreading them and that is a great feeling. I know that I go through these different cycles of motivation. Some days I am ready to go and other days I can barely get out of bed, but I know that regardless of how I feel before hand; I always feel better than I did afterwards. That feeling of accomplishment and knowing that I am taking care of myself keeps me coming back day after day.
Workout of the Day: Hiit, cardio, and core + Yoga
I recognized this workout from the 5 day Fitness Challenge that I recently completed. It was a lot of fun to revisit it, but it did feel like it was on the long side. I am glad that I kept going.
10 Minute Abs Workout:
After that hiit workout I was dripping with sweat and reluctant to do more. I almost decided to do this one later with my yoga practice, but I decided to push myself to do it even though I didn’t feel like it and I had fun. Once again, Kelli included a wonderful variety and the time passed quickly.
Yoga for a Rainy Day:
It was not a rainy day. It was so warm and sunny and I did not necessarily feel like doing rainy day yoga especially since it has an image of her doing that low lunge. I know that low lunges are great, but they are kind of challenging for me because I feel like I am squishing my organs. Also, back in September my back knee felt so tender that I always had to bring a pillow for extra cushioning during lunges. I think I have made progress because I no longer need the extra pillow. It definitely gets better with practice. This rainy day yoga ended up being exactly what I needed to decompress.
Today’s Word of the Day is:
appellation– noun
- A name, title or designation.
- The act of naming.
It’s funny this word did not have the meaning that I expected. I usually do a fairly good job of figuring out words and have been obsessed with word etymology, but I am not always right. I am glad that I learned something new today.
What are your plans for today? Comment below to share. Today I am trying to decide whether or not I want to buy another acre of land. I am getting ready to visit it after I write this post. Wish Me luck!

I’m looking to get rid of some love handles – I lost 40 pounds, but I am struggling with love handles. I have hypothyroidism and celiac disease; I’ve been watching the GF foods I eat, walk, skate, and swim.
I’m proud of the weight I lost, but I just got a new tattoo on my back, on some of the love handle and I’m a little self-conscious. A friend suggested Yoga and Adrienne’s yoga channel. I’m going to give it a try. Can I do HIIT without a trainer?
Thanks for the motivation today. 🙂
Hello!
Congratulations on your weightloss! 40 lbs is amazing! It takes a lot of dedication and willpower to get there and I admire you for it.
I am struggling with the love handles myself. You should definitely visit Adriene’s yoga channel and try some of her vidoes. She is my favorite. I love how down to earth she is and she gives really helpful prompts in yoga. Yoga was always challenging for me because slowing down is hard, but I have been able to stick with my practice now that I have been doing Adriene’s videos. Let me know if you try it out.
And yes! You can do HIIT without a trainer it is ideal with body weight. It is High Intensity Interval Training. You alternate between a sprint type of exercise like jumping jacks for 20 seconds then either rest or do a lower impact exercise of 10 seconds (like a wall sit). Then you repeat that circuit or choose different exercises. Hiit is excellent for fat burning. I like looking up hiit workouts on youtube so that I don’t have to think too hard. The Fitness Blender channel has been my favorite for hiit and strength training workouts.
Keep up the great work! You are on a great track. Thanks for visiting me! I hope you will have a wonderful week.
