Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I finally feel more caught up with blog posts which is a nice feeling. I strongly dislike when blogging feels like a chore or something I need to or should do. I keep this blog because it is my creative outlet where I can be candid, honest, and raw. I want to share my stories, struggles, and wins and hopefully inspire others along the way.
These workout and word of the day posts have been invaluable this year and have kept me accountable. I have gone through long periods of time when I despised home workouts so much that they just didn’t happen. Even this time around, I was honestly dreading the lack of a nearby gym. We had no workout equipment from June until September and I missed the convenience of being able to see the gym from my room back in Scottsdale. I also loved the fact that I could walk just across the street and go to Target, Ross, and TJ Maxx, Boston Market, Taco Bell, Einstein Bagels, GNC, Jamba Juice, a Thai Restaurant, a Hawaiian BBQ, and Froyo joint whenever I wanted to. My hair stylist was there too and I was basking in the convenience of it all. Kitty cornered from there was Sushi, a burger place, Starbucks, and the Vitamin Shoppe. Life was good there, but I dared to believe that we could do even better and that was what brought us here.
I spent September and most of October doing pilates and yoga for workouts then at the very end of October we finally found a nice set of weights. I am glad that I have started strength training once again because it has done wonders for my posture and overall confidence.
Workout of the Day: Core based Hiit + Legs + Yoga
45 Minute Hiit Cardio and Abs Workout:
If you are looking for a hiit workout and a comprehensive core workout then this is the one for you! Kelly takes us through 15 different core exercises then gets our hearts pumping with lots of explosive movements in the hiit portion.
5 Minute Butt and Thigh Workout for a bigger butt
I see some people’s butt transformations and I often wonder, is that really possible? Well, here are 5 minutes of different squat variations. She ended with jump squats and I felt myself saying “seriously?” I was so over the jumping by that point because hiit was full of jumps. It is only 5 minutes. We can do Most things for 5 minutes.
Day #2/40 Disease Resistance (Kundalini Challenge)
I felt SOOOO Good after this yoga practice. Better than I have in a long time after yoga and yoga is already pretty grand. I was no longer tense and I could feel my spine align and stack nicely. I highly recommend this practice to everyone.
Word of the Day:
- Fear or hatred of foreigners, people from different cultures, or strangers.
- Fear or dislike of the cultures, dress, customs of people who are culturally different from oneself.
Thanks for joining me for another workout and word of the day! I hope you are having a great week!
