Workout and Word of the Day #120

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

How is your week going?  This has been a great week for me and I am enjoying the fact that it is not stressful.  This year we do not have elaborate Thanksgiving plans and I think it will be a nice change for my partner and I.  Historically, Thanksgiving has been a stressful holiday, but I have enjoyed it each year because we have spent time with family.  Now that we are far away, we will spend some time relaxing and will probably throw something yummy on the grill and chill.

Workout of the Day: Cardio Hiit + Yoga

This was a good challenging workout that included everything.  A warm-up, cardio, hiit, lower body strength training, and a cool down / stretch.

Day #7/40 Kundalini Yoga Weightloss Challenge:

This is not your typical yoga practice and I have been enjoying it to the fullest.  It focuses a lot on breath work which is what I have been needing lately.

Today’s Word of the Day is:

sempiternal– adjective

  1. Of never-ending duration: eternal.

Thank you for joining me for another workout and word of the Day!  I will see you again soon because I am getting ready for a fun cardio workout after lunch.

❤ Alana

    1. I am sorry that you are feeling down. That is really hard to deal with the holiday season without your loved one. It sounds like you and your dad were very close too. Are you spending Thanksgiving with family and friends?
Be kind and gentle with yourself, try to find joy in the little things, and know that it is okay to feel sad about such a big loss. Continue to keep your dad’s memory alive through your stories, but also remember to make some new memories too because he would want you to be happy.

      Take care my friend,

      ❤ Alana

  1. I watched part of the day 7 video (and the first one you shared) and I can see why you like it – it is a mix of softer yoga poses and some yin – with that longer breathing – oh how nice and calming – can see why you like it –
    and nice word today

    1. Thank you. Yes, I do enjoy it although yesterday I didn’t practice yoga for the first time in a long time and I felt anxious and sad so today I will just pick up where I left off. 🙂

      1. Yes – just pick up where you left off- 😉
And even tho you likely could use the break (not sure but sometimes recovery time is needed) but I can see you also like to keep momentum going

      2. I didn’t even think of that. I might actually need to rest a little more because I have been working hard lately mentally and physically. I spent almost two days feeling like something is wrong when it could just be I need rest 😉 thank you for bringing it up ❤

      3. Glad to mention it. My husband talks about recovery time a lot – and other things he has learned a long the way. Have I sent you his Facebook of IG link? I need to – I think you would enjoy some of his health tips –

      4. And guess what? I did two classes tonight – back to back – that is a very special thing for me – it means I am fully recovered from the car accident in June – 🤸🏼‍♂️🤸🏼‍♂️🤸🏼‍♂️
