Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I hope you had a lovely holiday! Yesterday was probably the least stressful Thanksgiving I have ever had in my entire life and it was a nice change of pace. It was just the two of us with our cats since our families live far away now. We intentionally wanted to be non-traditional and we ended up getting fish and chips for dinner at a local shop that was surprisingly open. On our way home we stopped at the grocery store an hour before closing and I chose a few staples like eggs, butter, cheese, gallons of water, ginger almondina, coconut chocolate toasted almonds, and green tea mochi ice cream for dessert. It was also the first Thanksgiving since I was a child that I didn’t have any alcohol. We went for a beautiful walk in the sunshine and spent more time outside sporadically through the day.
I am glad that we have started making these little healthy changes. This was such a nice contrast from last Thanksgiving which was super stressful. I also got terribly sick that night and could barely sleep. Thankfully when I woke up the next morning, I was back to normal and able to attend 3 dance fitness classes. This year, I did not get sick at all. I might have had a few too many almondina, but luckily they are cut into very thin pieces and are low in sugar.
Today’s Workout is: Recovery Day
Low Impact Hiit Cardio:
This was a quick hiit workout that still got my heart beating even though the exercises were low impact.
Stretching, pilates, yoga workout blend:
I was very thankful for the recovery day. After feeling kind of out of it mentally and emotionally it was nice to just relax and not think too hard about the exercises and movements. I decided not to do Kundalini yoga, but I will pick it up again today.
Word of the Day:
- Frenzied; agitated; unrestrained.
Overall, I had a very nice Thanksgiving and the fact that it was a recovery day was such a nice touch. I slept in this morning and feel refreshed and ready to take on the day!
