Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
What is new and exciting in your world? I am looking forward with the built in new beginning that comes with a new year! This year I moved 3 times (Wa=> Az, Az=> Wa, Wa=> Hi) and I am proud of the fact that I was able to be consistent with my workouts.
It is kind of funny because last year in 2018 I had finally started facing my fear of gyms by working out at the gym. When I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona I was able to continue with my gym workouts since I could literally see the gym from my bedroom window. That was a definite advantage because I could see who was coming and going and choose the times that were the least busy. The gym became my escape and also the place where I found myself and my confidence.
In June, we moved to Hawaii and the closest gym is not very conveniently located from my house. There will be a gym opening up 10 minutes away, but I am enjoying the extra money in my bank and am happy with the home gym that we have gradually built since we got here. It started with just a yoga mat. In the past, it was really challenging for me to stay motivated to do home workouts. Luckily, this blog and my “Workout and Word of the Day” posts have kept me inspired and accountable!
Workout of the Day: Hasfit Day #1 20 Minute Fat Burning Hiit
I completed my 8 week fat burning challenge on Friday and yesterday I started this 90 Day fitness challenge by HASfit. I am excited about this challenge and want to especially focus on my nutrition so that I can see results.
Today’s Word of the Day is:
- The branch of psychology that deals with the relationships between physical stimuli and mental phenomena.
When the new year begins in a few days I will reset my counter back to “Workout #1” from there it will be my goal to do more workouts next year than I did this year in 2019.
Do you have plans for New Years Eve? There is a free Zumba class that I would love to go to, but it is at 6 pm. I know that isn’t that late, but for some reason I have been more paranoid about reckless drivers than before. Maybe I will be brave and make it to that class or I will do a home workout. Comment below to share your plans.
Thanks for joining me for another workout and word of the day! I will see you again soon!
