Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I made it through my bout of procrastination and finally cooked the bone broth in time for today. When I woke up this morning I knew that I could either stress about not feeling energetic and not getting enough done OR I could be okay with taking it slow and going with the flow. I ended up taking it slow and I am glad that I did. I decided to sleep in then enjoy the sunshine without worrying about doing yard work.
I didn’t even leave the house today. Instead, I slowly sipped my coffee and bone broth and wrote my weekly “Happiness Project” post. This is another activity that suffered from procrastination. Sometimes it is nice to stick around and let the world pass you by… For a day…
Workout of the Day 20 Minute hiit + Uplifting Yoga
This was another short and deadly workout. I swear that I sweated as much as I would have doing a 60 minute workout. This plan has given me a chance to practice “trusting the process.” Trusting the process has always been a challenge for me because I think I was raised with the belief that more is better or “pain is weakness leaving the body.” Now I am learning how to work WITH my body rather than against her.
Uplift Yoga with Adriene:
Yes, I will admit that I often go long bouts without practicing yoga… Let’s just call it laziness or even hiding. I know how good it is for my body and mind, but sometimes I still choose to hide. I am glad that I decided to come out of hiding this week and visit my mat more often. I am never disappointed with a Yoga with Adriene session.
