Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I have been busy lately and that has made it easy for me to fall behind on these posts. Let’s get caught up! Life is full of hills and valleys and I am happily enjoying a hilltop right now. Being done with my course work and further automating our businesses has given me even more spare time and I spent about a week worrying. This heightened my anxiety and led to a few bouts of depression.
An idle mind can truly be hazardous and make life feel overwhelming. Luckily, my new routine and doing more cooking helped to keep me busy, but it still gave me a chance to overthink through things. Even reading fictional books made me feel self-conscious about my own life and I found myself worrying that I am not doing enough or that I am missing out.
What helped me climb out of this valley? Well, I had another dream of my Grandma and this time it was not sad or a nightmare other than the fact that I knew in my dream that she is no longer with us. It reminded me of how she lived her life so joyfully. I miss her so much and now that she is in heaven it is up to me to continue spreading joy. This week I felt myself longing to be closer to my family. My mom’s side of the family has had a bizarre rift that has created larger gaps with the passing of my Grandparents. I found myself wishing that we could all just agree to disagree and be there for each other despite the differences. I am mostly talking about my extended family. I also reconnected more with my mom and sister and that was nice.
I have been having these dreams of my Grandma at least once a month ever since we moved to Hawaii and each time they have helped to bring me back to life. I am thankful for blessings like these.
Workout of the Day: Back Day
Quick Warm-up Routine:
When I first started the video and saw that it was a little girl I almost chose a different video, but I am so glad that I decided to stick around. She did a great job in leading this warm-up. I enjoyed it and I know you will too!
30 Minute Back and Biceps Workout:
This workout was challenging in the best way possible. I really like the back and bicep combo. It reminded me of the good ol days a year ago when I would do push and pull day workouts. This would be considered a pull day.
Word of the Day:
- A Middle Eastern mixture of herbs and spices typically containing thyme, and marjoram or oregano along with sumac, sesame seeds, salt and other ingredients.
I especially like this word since cooking has become one of my latest hobbies and I have been experimenting with different spices and flavorings.
Thank you for joining me for another workout and word of the day! I have more to tell you, but I will tell you about it in my next post!
