Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

Lately, I have been quiet in the blog world because I am spending less time on my computer.  It has been such a nice change of pace.  In fact, I did not log into my computer once these past 2 days.  My boyfriend’s dad came to visit us and we spent lots of time going on adventures.  We have both been working our butts off and I hoped that this visit would give us a chance to go on adventures and spend some time away from our computers.  I even missed the workout I had planned for Friday because we let my bf’s Dad borrow my computer.  At first, I was a little disappointed that I did not do my workout earlier and then I decided to just Let It Go.

Now let’s rewind a bit, shall we?  On Tuesday night our rainwater catchment was dry.  It has not been raining very much lately and it seems like it always manages to run out right before we have overnight guests.  Thankfully, on Wednesday afternoon we were able to get a water delivery truck to come and fill up our catchment with springwater.

I gotta admit that it was stressful to run out of water especially with company coming that same day, but I am so happy and thankful that everything worked out so well.  A few hours later he arrived and we had such a lovely visit.  Of course, we bought the water and immediately, our daily rain resumed.  I guess that’s the way it works, right?

I did a workout on Thursday, but admittedly missed my Friday workout (like I mentioned earlier) heck, I might even miss today’s workout if I run out of energy, but I promise not to shame myself for it.  This takes practice, doesn’t it?

We started our Wednesday morning with coffee from Helloo Sunshine then conveniently walked across the street for brunch at Pele’s Kitchen.

We did some household chores like took the trash out and went to Hilo to get some groceries from the KTA market.  That evening I made us some oxtail stew while Christopher gave his dad a grand tour of our neighborhood.

Friday was Valentine’s Day.  We are not big on commercial holidays anymore (we would rather live everyday in the best way.  We got our coffees from Hello Sunshine once again then showed our guest Maku’u point which is right in our neighborhood.

I took this picture on Valentine’s Day morning, but didn’t notice the heart until hours later.  This place is truly magical and gets more and more beautiful everyday.  We got an entire palette of soil and got to spread it over our palm trees with exposed roots.  It was so nice to do some yard work together in the warm, tropical, sunshine.  We had a barbecue for lunch and later that day went to Island Naturals for some Kava and tropical fruit.  Friday was stressful due to business taxes, but it was still a good day despite it.

 

Saturday (yesterday) was definitely my favorite day this week.  It felt like we had a month’s worth of dates all in one day!

Today has been pretty wonderful too, but I was kind of sad that it was time for our visitor to head home.  We had such a lovely time and it was a lot less stressful than I thought it would be.  It also got us out of the house and living out loud!

  • Count your blessings.  I have been counting my blessings ❤
  • Start before you are ready.  We have been getting an earlier start in the day and it feels so nice.
  • Actively build your confidence.  I have been challenging myself to have more confidence.  It takes practice, but I am getting there.
  • Believe in miracles.  Yes!
  • Believe in yourself.  Maybe slowly, but definitely surely.

I am honestly glad that this month’s set of goals is more relaxing and less work intensive.  January was an intense month.  I pushed and challenged myself a lot.  This month I want to stress less and live a lot more.

This week I would like to get back on track with my nutrition and healthy habits.  I would not say that I slacked off or went backwards.  We just decided to live more and stress less.  We ate out more than we have in a long time and I am excited to get back to cooking and making bone broth.  I also want to focus more on fat loss, because I still have fluff around my waistline and I want to prevent diseases by getting healthy.
