Workout and Word of the Day #25

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

My life has been feeling more adventurous and spontaneous lately and it is because I have been saying yes more than ever!  Yes, let’s go for that walk!  Yes, let’s meet the neighbors for a drink next door.  Yes, let’s give those folks a ride!  Yes, let’s show everyone our favorite coffee spot.

On Monday afternoon we picked up a couple who needed a ride and found out that they were visiting Hawaii from the Netherlands.  We felt bad for them because it was a hot day and they had been waiting for a ride for over an hour because it was a holiday and the buses were out of service.  It felt good to help them because we were without a car for over a month when we first arrived and there was no Uber in our neighborhood.  Just 2 folks that would charge us exorbitant amounts just to get groceries.  We made it, but it definitely helps to have dependable transportation.

Yesterday morning, the couple wanted to buy us coffee.  We also decided to give them a ride to the Honakaa / Waipio Valley region of the Island.  It was a much-needed road trip / adventure.  Especially since my partner and I have been talking about driving this way again for months just to spend some time away from our computers.  It reminded me of how much I love impromptu adventures.  I was thrilled about the fact that we even made it to the Waipio Valley Lookout!  Next time, we will spend more time exploring the valley.  It definitely gives us something to look forward to.  Since we live here we are enjoying the luxury of taking our sweet time…

Workout of the Day: 10 minute hiit + Total Body

This workout felt longer than 10 minutes and it kicked my butt, but it was exactly what I needed!

This was another great burner.  I loved those squat hops with the twist.  It was a fun and sassy way to end the day.  I was a little tired by the end of the day after our epic road trip adventures, but I am glad that I still made time for my workouts.  I always feel amazing afterwards!

I got about halfway through yoga when the neighbors knocked on our door to invite us over.  So we decided to head on over for another impromptu adventure and it did not disappoint.
