Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
How is your week going? I can’t believe that it is already Thursday. This week is flying by and I think that staying active and busy has been good for my mental and physical health. Yesterday we helped one of our neighbors repair their water system. Last year we were in their shoes and had to learn how to repair our own. It was nice to be able to extend a helping hand.
Lately, I have been reconnecting with old friends and it has been so nice to catch up. This morning I had a nice chat with my friend Grace. I met her in college back in 2017 and we took two (almost 3) quarters of classes together. In 2018 life got hectic and we got out of touch. Thankfully we have been able to re-connect this year. Grace has been sharing nutrition and weight loss tips, tricks, and pointers with me. I think one of the most important things that I need to do is to stress less. She was reminding me of this back in 2017 when the stress was constantly making me sick and injured. Just thinking about it is stressful 😉
We talked about how far we have come with our academic studies. We both graduated this year. Grace is going to get her masters in teaching, teach high school biology, and then eventually study Chinese herbal medicine. I told her that she inspires me to pursue my goals and dreams. I also told her about how lately I have been feeling exactly how I felt when I was 21. Back then I felt like I was behind and I had not accomplished enough. And even now at 31 I still feel that way and it is stressful (there’s that word again.) She told me that I can still do whatever I want to do. She said that she just does it and doesn’t think about it. I am going to try to be more like Grace and to try to stress less 🙂
Today’s Workout is: Upper Body Strength
This is a fun and challenging upper body workout that uses dumbbells. I really appreciated her attention to technique and the variety of exercises. My arms are still burning from this workout!
Today’s Word of the Day is:
- A mountain range in SW Kyrgystan, part of the Tien shan.
Thank you for joining me for another workout and word of the day. I procrastinated in writing this post a little more than I would like to admit, but I am glad that I got it done. I think I am going to share more moments of my life in these workout and word of the day posts.
I hope you will have a lovely rest of your day!
