Hello My Dear Darling Friends!
I was feeling kind of bummed because the top of my foot is still sore even after a month so I decided to take a break from running yesterday. Right now I cannot do lunge or plank type exercises because it puts too much pressure on my toes. This is a little depressing because I have been making so much progress with my weight loss and I am worried that my progress will slow down. I think that it is probably an overuse injury. I was doing a TON of jumps, planks, and push-up type exercises with my hiit workouts for almost 2 months and I would follow each day with a run.
Jogging was pretty tolerable, but I was starting to push myself to sprint REALLY hard and do hill sprints too. This is probably my body’s way of telling me to ease up and be more gentle.
Workout of the Day: Full-body + Chair Cardio
Full-Body Fat Burn Hiit Cardio | Vicky Justiz
This was a great workout. I had to modify the exercises, but am glad that I did it. Her next workout required lunges and planks so I had to look elsewhere.
Hurt Foot Total Body Workout | Caroline Jordan
I think Caroline Jordan’s channel is my new favorite especially since I am nursing my injury. She is so upbeat, positive, and amazing!
Chair Cardio for Fat Loss | Caroline Jordan
I enjoyed this chair cardio. It kept me moving, for sure!
Today’s Word of the Day is:
discombobulate– verb
- To confuse or disconcert; upset; frustrate.
Not being able to run left me feeling discombobulated. I am doing my best to find the silver lining in this situation. I have been icing and elevated my foot consistently.

I tried going to gym but gave up in 2 3 days. I’m better at home.
good to know.
I’m doig great thanks 🙂
It’s great that you tried the gym and figured out what works best for you 🙂
I had a severe gym phobia and was eventually a little more comfortable. Pretty soon Zumba classes were the only thing I wanted to do at my gym (pre-covid times)
Home workouts work best for me too 🙂
