2021 Dream-Catcher Challenge Weeks #4 &5

Hello My Dear Darling Friends!

Have you ever had that assignment or that one post that is just so hard to start? Really it’s simple. All you need to do is get started and the rest will flow, but that initial icebreaker can be such a struggle. This is that post for me. Call it procrastination or feeling overwhelmed, but as much as it has been on my mind and heart; I have been avoiding it. I already feel so much better now that I have gotten started.

It was a busy week full of that whole circle of emotions. Seriously, this mercury retrograde has got me outta sorts, but I am finally on the way up. My slurry of feelings and emotions were not without good reason, but we will get to that soon. First, I must show you our latest Chica update. Btw, it turns out that “Chico” is a girl so her name is now “Chica” and she is the sweetest, most tame chick ever!

Yes, Chica comes upstairs and hangs out with us in our house at least twice a day. She is so sweet and she has her own little flock that follows her around everywhere. They are all abandoned wild chicks that have become quite tame. A little love goes a long way, my friends!

My emotions were a mess this week, but I am finally feeling healthy again! It felt like I went through a long stretch of feeling sick and injured and I am so happy to feel healthy and energetic once again! Did I mention that I decided to give up edibles this week? That might have contributed to my big emotions. I decided to do it because my appetite and cravings were out of control. I liked being able to sleep at night, but I did not like the fact that the scale went up this week.

I need to start focusing more on acceptance and enjoying the journey once again because I have lost sight of that. I have been rushing and just wanting to reach my destination already, but I also know that this time and this process is precious and should be enjoyed rather than rushed. I’m trying!

I started hula hooping these last two weeks and it has become one of my favorite new hobbies. I love how hula hooping feels like a dance and is also an incredible workout too! It is doing wonders for my confidence. I also started running again. My headphones broke last week and I tried running without music all week, but it is not nearly as fun as running with music. Running without music takes forever because I am alone with my thoughts…

This is not going to be a very long blog post because I just want to get it out there and into the world so that I can move on with my life.

  • Count your blessings. I was so stressed this week, but will do a better job with this.
  • Eat more fresh fruits and veggies. Yes, but could be better!
  • Actively build your confidence. Hula Hooping and running is doing wonders for my confidence.
  • Create a skincare ritual. My skin is a mess from the stress right now.
  • Believe in miracles. I do believe in miracles.
  • Set SMART goals. Okay, I’ll do this.

I am tired now so I am going to finish this post with a collage of pictures. Enjoy!

Thank you for joining me for today’s catch-up session. I still have more to tell you, but I will write another post about it. I’m sorry that I had so little to say, but I am pretty tired.

What is new and exciting in your world? Please comment below to catch up!

I hope you will have a wonderful week and we shall talk soon!

❤ Alana
